Benchmark Definition:

This benchmark represents the absence of declared noxious weeds and non-dominant populations of other naturalised, non-native plants in temperate semi-arid shrublands and open woodlands under agricultural crop production, maintained through Integrated Weed Management.

Justification:

This benchmark represents the highest achievable state of ecological health for invasive species in a managed cropping system, defined by exclusion of legally defined high-threat weeds and management of other invasives to non-dominant levels.

Notes
