Water Turbidity
Benchmark Value
Scoring Curve
This curve shows how a field measurement for this indicator would score across all available benchmark forms in this context. The scoring engine uses 5 benchmarks together — the OptimalRange form drives the primary score, while 4 guard(s) constrain the result.

Evidence & Context
Indicator Name: Water Turbidity Reference Value: < 10 NTU (with < 5 NTU representing best-on-offer) Unit: NTU
Water turbidity in surface waters of urbanized catchments within Australia's Arid Mountain Ranges & Uplands biome during low-flow or inter-event periods.
The best available condition for turbidity during low-flow or inter-event periods in receiving water bodies within an urban catchment managed with best-practice Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD).
The benchmark is derived from national guidelines and regional proxy data (groundwater) due to the absence of direct surface water measurements from a site perfectly matching the specified biome and land use context.
