Soil Organic Carbon (SOC)
Benchmark Value
Scoring Curve
The scoring engine could not generate a curve for this benchmark context. The primary form is CompositeFramework, but the benchmark data may be missing required fields (e.g., optimal range bounds for an OptimalRange benchmark). This is typically a data quality issue in the benchmark pipeline.
Evidence & Context
Synthesizing the data from the Lower and Western Eyre Peninsula agricultural districts provides the following benchmarks for best available condition in cropping systems.
Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) concentration in the 0-10 cm soil layer in cropping systems on calcareous soils (Calcarosols).
The 75th percentile of observed SOC values in cropping systems on calcareous soils, representing a high-performing, achievable state under best-practice regenerative management.
Based on a large dataset of over 35,000 farm soil samples collected over 17 years in the Eyre Peninsula, a robust proxy for the specified biome and land use.
